Free Skopje Walking Tours,

started operating in January 2016, with an idea through the prism of the locals, to bring the city closer to its visitors.

Our guides are highly educated individuals and winners of several prestigious awards in the field of tourism. They were born in Skopje and spent all their lives in their hometown. They witnessed the many changes that Skopje was going throughout those years. You can feel their love for the city, through the passion and enthusiasm they put into every tour. They enjoy their work and enjoy sharing their knowledge with you. All this in a very short period of time made Free Skopje Walking Tours a highest ranked tour in Skopje on TripAdvisor.

We're very proud to announce that after receiving the Certificate of Excellence for three years in a row, now also for the fourth year in a row, our free walking tours were awarded the Travelers Choice Award from TripAdvisor. An achievement that no other tour in the city has been able to achieve. All these awards make us even more determined to continue with our efforts to provide the best experience for our guests.

Thank you for all of your support and kind reviews.

Our tours are organized twice a day (click here to see the time schedule) throughout the year, with an exception for the period between New Year and Orthodox Christmas

(in between January 1st and January 7th).

It is free to join our walking tours. We welcome tips at the end of each tour and the amount you want to tip your guide is completely your decision. Please be aware that in order to cover the common expenses (like our blue umbrellas, flyers, website maintenance, etc.), guides are required to pay a marketing fee to the company, based on the number of the guests who participated in the tour.

During the tour, which lasts approximately three hours of easy walking (the time depends on the interests of the guests and the pace at which the group moves during the tour), you will see the most important sights of the new and old part of the city.

Places such as Makedonija Square, the Old Train Station, Mother Teresa Memorial, the Stone Bridge, Old Bazaar, Skopje Fortress, and many others.

In addition, during the tour, you will receive recommendations about the most interesting traditional dishes and drinks, as well as recommendations about places in the immediate vicinity of the city that are nice to visit.
